Insurance & pricing
Clear options — no invented price lists
Windscreen work is sometimes covered differently from other motor claims. We explain insurance routes and private pay simply. We do not publish fake “from £…” figures or pretend every job costs the same.
Using your insurance
Many comprehensive policies include windscreen cover, sometimes with a lower excess for glass than for a general claim. Some insurers ask you to use an approved provider; others allow you to choose. Check your schedule or call your insurer — we can help you understand what to ask.
- Confirm whether chip repair and full replacement are treated differently
- Ask about excess and whether a claim affects your no-claims bonus
- Note any approved-repairer requirements before booking
Private pay
Paying yourself can make sense for a straightforward chip repair, or if you prefer not to claim. We quote once we understand the vehicle, the damage and whether ADAS calibration is required — not with a one-price-fits-all number on a website.
Call with your registration and a photo for a realistic expectation before we travel.
What affects the cost
- Repair versus full glass replacement
- Glass specification for your make, model and options (sensors, heating, acoustic, HUD, and so on)
- Whether static and/or dynamic ADAS calibration is required after fitting
- Location and access for a safe mobile job
What we will not do on this site
We will not invent average prices, display fake “90% of chips repaired for £X”, or claim accreditations we have not earned. For a real figure, request a quote or phone us.
